about smart safety ...
Where did smart safety start?
Smart safety is a safety consultancy that started in 2016. The idea was born when working on NSW quarry safety plans - there was an opportunity to help others who did not have the time or understanding to put together what was required. Since then, the business has expanded to include SMALL BUSINESS safety - a focus on providing a simple, cost-effective way to improve the safety standard in a small business.
background?
Paul Skidmore, the Principal Consultant has wide and varied experience across different industries, roles and responsibilities as listed below. He trained as a Chemical Engineer which led to work in the pulp and paper industry where he worked at all levels and in many roles including as a production operator, shift supervisor and manager. This led to process development, technical leadership and to a quality, environment and safety focus. Safety brought together all of the analytical, technical, leadership and people skills and a passion for preventing injury in the workplace.
He went on to work in many industries: pulp and paper, clay and concrete products, solid waste disposal and processing, consumer goods, quarrying, concrete and concrete products. He is recognised for his engaging style and analytical and practical approach.
Particular areas of expertise include:
- small business safety
- solving safety problems
- quarry plans and safety systems
We look forward to working with you in the future.
